Benefits Proposed
Ambulance Service
The primary emergency response is the dispatch of an ambulance. This covers all costs associated with a road ambulance required in the event of a medical emergency. Additionally, this cover can be extended to air evacuation, provided the decision to evacuate air is pre-approved ER24. This can be enabled ensuring that emergency response is patched to the ER24 call centre at the time of the emergency. This cover applies to any medical emergency in South Africa.
Casualty / ER Cover
Treatment provided an emergency room for a medical emergency will be covered up to R 7500 per event, with a maximum of R 10 000 per annum.
Hospital Cover
If admission to a hospital is required as a result of a medical emergency, an amount of R 500 per day for each day in the hospital will be covered, up to a maximum of R7500 per event and R 10 000 per annum.
Death / Funeral Cover
In the event of death, R 10 000 will be payable. In the event of accidental death, double the amount (R 20 000) will be payable.
Trauma Counselling
Trauma counselling provided a registered practitioner will be covered up to R 5000 per annum.
